Promotional terms — palmerbat

This page sets out the standing rules that apply to every promotion, bonus, offer or reward made available by Palmer Bookmaking Pty Ltd. The full written terms of each individual offer apply in addition to these rules and prevail to the extent of any inconsistency.

palmerbat is committed to minimising gambling harm. Promotions are designed and offered consistent with the National Consumer Protection Framework, the AANA Wagering Advertising & Marketing Communication Code, and all applicable Australian advertising legislation. Promotions are never offered as an inducement to deposit, wager more, or chase losses.

Who offers are available to

Promotions are available only to eligible, verified account holders who are 18 years or older and physically located in Australia. palmerbat does not publish gambling inducements or sign-up offers to persons who are not logged-in account holders.

In New South Wales, section 33JA of the Betting and Racing Act 1998 (NSW) prohibits the offering of inducements to gamble. This prohibition applies not only to prospective customers but also to existing account holders — for example, inducements to open an account, to refer another person, or to gamble more. Any offer made available by palmerbat is structured to comply with section 33JA and the National Consumer Protection Framework.

Customers registered with BetStop (the National Self-Exclusion Register) are excluded from all promotions and promotional messaging. Customers who have activated operator-level self-exclusion are also excluded from all promotions and promotional messaging for the duration of the exclusion.

What every offer discloses

Before you opt in, the specific terms of an offer will disclose, at a minimum:

eligibility criteria and any qualifying action;
the value and form of the benefit;
any turnover, wagering or qualifying-bet requirement, and any minimum odds;
any maximum payout or maximum bonus-derived winnings;
the period for which the offer and any resulting funds remain valid;
permitted and excluded markets and bet types; and
the circumstances in which the offer, or any bonus funds, may be withdrawn, forfeited or treated as void.

No offer carries a hidden, undisclosed or retrospective condition.

Fair use

Offers are for personal recreational use. palmerbat may withhold a benefit, void associated wagers or close an account where an offer’s terms are breached or where conduct involves bonus abuse, multiple accounts, collusion, or wagering patterns designed only to extract promotional value.

Variation and withdrawal

palmerbat may vary or withdraw any offer prospectively. Changes do not affect a benefit already validly earned under an offer’s terms.

Children and minors

Promotions are strictly for adults. No promotion, bonus or promotional communication is offered, directed or made available to any person under 18 years of age. Promotional content is not designed to appeal to minors. A person under 18 must not open an account, participate in any offer, or receive any promotional message. See our Underage gambling policy.

Tax treatment

Wagering winnings, including any winnings derived from a promotion or bonus, are generally not subject to Australian income tax for recreational customers. palmerbat does not provide tax advice. You are responsible for assessing the tax treatment of any benefit in your own circumstances and should seek independent advice if unsure.

Disputes about promotions

If you believe an offer has not been applied correctly, raise it first with customer support at support@palmerbat.com. If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate it through our Complaints and dispute resolution process, which sets out timelines and external escalation paths. palmerbat’s determination of an offer’s terms is made reasonably and in good faith.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these promotional terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
